What doesn’t use credits

  • Rule-based Copilot Studio agents (set questions and buttons, in Teams) are included with Microsoft 365.
  • Agents built in Agent Builder or SharePoint cost nothing extra for people with a Copilot Business seat. People without one pay about $0.12 an answer from company files.
  • Power Automate flows with no AI step on Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Forms are included with Microsoft 365.

Good to know

  • A Copilot Studio agent that uses AI needs Copilot Credits set up, even for people with a paid Copilot seat.
  • Pay as you go is $0.01 a credit. A capacity pack is shared across your whole organization, and unused credits don’t roll over.
  • Build scheduled work as a Power Automate cloud flow rather than an agent flow: everyday flows are included, agent flows are billed in credits.
  • These are estimates from Microsoft’s published rates. Your bill depends on how the agent is built and how people use it, so check it after the first month.
