Free keyword and Google preview check
Pick a page and the search you want it to show up for. We check the places search engines weigh most, and show how the page would look in Google’s results.
Checking now. This usually takes a few seconds.
What we’re looking at:
- Title and page address
- Main heading and subheadings
- Description and opening text
- How often the phrase appears
- Image descriptions
- How it looks in Google
What the check looks at
- Title: whether the phrase is in it, near the start, and whether the title fits without being cut off.
- Main heading and subheadings: whether the big heading at the top says the same thing, and whether a subheading does too.
- Page address and description: whether the words are in the address and the meta description Google often shows.
- Text: whether the opening mentions it, how often it appears, and whether there’s enough text to rank.
- Images: whether a photo’s alt text describes it with the phrase.
What it doesn’t do
Paid tools like Semrush and Ahrefs also estimate how many people search a phrase and how hard it is to rank for. Those numbers come from their own databases, so we don’t guess at them. To see the searches that already find you, and your real position, use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Both are free.
Check the whole site with the SEO audit, or one page’s technical setup with the SEO check.
